Preparing a Blogger website for Google AdSense involves much more than simply adding an AdSense account. A website should be useful, easy to navigate, technically accessible and filled with meaningful content.
While improving JaspTech Pulse, I worked through several important steps to make the blog more professional and ready for an AdSense review. Here is a quick overview of what I did.
1. Connected a Custom Domain
I moved the blog to the custom domain jasptechpulse.com and configured the required DNS settings for Blogger.
Using a custom domain also gives the blog a clearer identity and makes it easier to build a consistent brand.
2. Improved Existing Blog Posts
Instead of focusing only on publishing more articles, I reviewed existing posts and improved their quality.
The improvements included:
- clearer and more useful titles,
- better article structure,
- updated technical explanations,
- practical examples,
- relevant headings,
- better search descriptions, and
- more consistent labels.
The main goal was to make every article useful to someone actually searching for information about programming, technology, research or project development.
3. Cleaned the Blogger Homepage
The original Blogger template contained generic business and marketing content that did not properly represent a technology blog.
I replaced those sections with content related to programming, technology, tutorials and learning resources. I also removed unnecessary placeholder content and sections that were not relevant to JaspTech Pulse.
4. Added Important Website Pages
I checked that visitors could access important information pages, including:
- About Us
- Contact Us
- Privacy Policy
- Disclaimer
- Terms and Conditions
- DMCA Policy
These pages make it easier for visitors to understand the website, contact the site owner and find relevant policy information.
5. Improved Website Navigation
I reviewed the navigation menu and removed unnecessary template links. Categories and important pages were organized so visitors could move around the blog more easily.
6. Checked Sitemap and Search Accessibility
I verified the Blogger sitemap and reviewed the site's robots configuration so search engines could discover the public content.
I also started checking URLs and indexing information using SEO and search tools.
7. Installed Website Analytics
Analytics tools were added to help understand how visitors use the website. This makes it possible to monitor traffic and identify pages that may need improvement.
I also installed Ahrefs Web Analytics and verified that its tracking script was detected successfully.
8. Checked ads.txt
I reviewed the site's ads.txt configuration and made sure the
AdSense publisher information used by the blog was configured correctly.
9. Reviewed Mobile Usability
A large percentage of web traffic comes from mobile devices, so I also checked that articles, images, navigation, code examples and other important parts of the site remained readable on smaller screens.
10. Prepared for Google AdSense Review
After completing the technical and content improvements, the final step is to perform another quality check and submit the site for Google AdSense review.
AdSense approval is not guaranteed simply because a checklist has been completed. The more important goal is to maintain a useful website with original content, working navigation and a good experience for visitors.
What I Learned
One of the biggest lessons from this process is that preparing a blog for monetization should not be treated as simply adding an advertisement script. Content quality, website structure, navigation, technical configuration and visitor experience all matter.
For JaspTech Pulse, the next goal is to continue publishing practical programming and technology content while monitoring search performance and improving older articles when necessary.
Conclusion
Setting up a Blogger website properly takes time, but working through each area step by step makes the process manageable.
If you are also building a Blogger website, focus first on creating useful content and a trustworthy, easy-to-use site. Monetization should come after the foundation is in place.
